The line at a glance

Line 1 links Piscinola-Scampia with Centro Direzionale serving 20 stations. Line 1 is the backbone of the Naples Metro: known as the «metropolitana collinare» (hillside metro), it climbs from the city centre to the hilltop districts of Vomero and Colli Aminei up to Piscinola-Scampia, and since 1 April 2025 it reaches the Centro Direzionale business district. Along the way it serves Piazza Garibaldi (Napoli Centrale railway station), the port (Municipio), via Toledo and the National Archaeological Museum.
