How to get to Royal Palace & Piazza del Plebiscito by metro

Overview

Piazza del Plebiscito is Naples' grand monumental drawing room: a majestic crescent closed by the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola and facing the Royal Palace, home of the Spanish viceroys and Bourbon monarchs. Close by stand the Teatro San Carlo, the Galleria Umberto I and the Maschio Angioino castle. Municipio station itself, designed by architects Siza and Souto de Moura, incorporates archaeological finds from the ancient harbour uncovered during construction.
