How to get to Naples Port (Molo Beverello) — ferries to Capri & the islands by metro
Overview
Molo Beverello is the terminal from which hydrofoils and fast ferries depart for Capri, Ischia, Procida and Sorrento: it is the gateway to the Bay of Naples. It sits right in front of the Maschio Angioino castle, on the Piazza Municipio waterfront, in a fully redeveloped area with a new passenger terminal.

How to get there
Get off at Municipio station on Line 1 (orange), an interchange with Line 6: from the exit toward the port you reach Molo Beverello in about 8 minutes on foot (600 metres), gently downhill toward the sea. For Pompeii and Herculaneum, however, you do not take a ferry: catch the Circumvesuviana (EAV) train from Napoli Garibaldi.
Good to know
💡 In summer and at weekends buy your ferry ticket in advance online: sailings to Capri fill up quickly. Always check the time of the last return sailing if you visit the islands as a day trip.
